Our 25 full-time faculty typically represent 8 nationalities.
Since the College opened in 1997, faculty have come from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Cameroon, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the USA.
Faculty typically have at minimum a masters degree in the subject they teach, and usually one-third have doctorates. They share the UWC philosophy and, in addition to their teaching role, they are personal tutors, activity leaders, and share residential responsibilities.
Teaching faculty include the Head of College, Director of Studies and the University Guidance Counselor.
The teacher-student ratio is 1:9.
